GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION Hillandale Sports Association offers a Winter Cheerleading Program; all children, Pre-K through 6th grade (ages 3, 4 and 5 through 6th grade, are welcome. We will focus on sport cheerleading; defined as, organized routines lasting 30 – 90 seconds made from elements of jumping, tumbling, cheers and stunts to direct spectators of events to cheer for their team. We will not practice competitive cheerleading or incorporate dancing at this time. Each squad (based on age group) will be paired with a basketball team. Please note that there is limited availability for each Age Division and registrants will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. Age Divisions - based on current school year - Pre-K (must be 3 by August 1, 2011) - K and 1st Grade - 2nd and 3rd Grade - 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Locations for Practices - Will be determined based on enrollment per age group. Locations for Games - Pre-K League (Holt Elementary) - K and 1st Grade (Holt Elementary or Hillandale Elementary) - 2nd and 3rd Grade (Hillandale Elementary or Easley Elementary) - 4th, 5th and 6th Grade (Easley Elementary) Times for Practices and Games - Practices are held Monday or Tuesday, 6:15pm or 7:15pm. Thursday will be used for cancellations due to weather (ice/snow). - Games are held on Saturday - Each cheer squad will be matched with a basketball team Cost - $75.00 per registrant (includes uniforms, poms, briefs and other affiliated program costs) - Cheerleaders are responsible for providing own sneakers (white – cheerleading or aerobic shoe preferred), white turtleneck shirt, and practice wear.
