Scheduling is set up for convenience and effectiveness. Each team practices once a week on a set night (Mon - Thurs). When registering you can state your preference for a specific night or if a child wants to be on a team with a specific player or coach. We will try to honor all requests.
Each head coach will have a practice schedule and you should assist your child in maintaining regular attendance. The players' skill, development and playing positions may depend upon this period of instruction. |

Practices hampered by inclement weather are cancelled by coaches, so if there is a question of whether or not a practice will be held, you will be called by your coach. If you have not been notified 30 minutes prior to practice that it will be cancelled, then assume the practice will be held.
Game days are cancelled by the HSA board, and will be prominently announced on the HSA home webpage on this website at a minimum of one hour before the first game.
If it starts to rain in the middle of a game or practice, if an umpire is present it will be his/her decision to cancel or suspend the game. Where no umpire is present, the head coaches will make the decision.
Practices and games will be cancelled immediately in the event of thunder or lightning.
We do play baseball in the spring, and it does tend to rain in the spring, so if a practice is cancelled it may be possible to reschedule. Please check with the baseball commissioner to see if there is space available, and please let all parents know ASAP if something is re-scheduled. If you do have a practice outside of the normal slot, please make sure it is optional and nothing "important" is done (i.e. picking a team name, etc.). |
